Morris Jeff Community School (MJCS) will offer an education that is a source of freedom and possibility for children, permitting them to develop their talents fully, become contributing citizens in our world, and attain the foundation they need to excel at high schools, college and beyond.
Morris Jeff Community School is an open-admissions PK-8 public charter school that was recently recognized by the U.S. Department of Education Secretary Dr. John B. King, Jr., for its groundbreaking approach to student achievement in a diverse setting. MJCS is a World School of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for grades PK-5 and a candidate school of the Middle Years Programme (MYP) grades 6-10. Currently, Morris Jeff is the only elementary school in Louisiana with the IBO World School designation.
